The following organisations have received donations from the PETT scheme:
Over the year the Ruby’s Fund Sensory Centre, in Congleton, has extended it’s offering to include a Social Café, Sensory Room, Lego club, Parent Carer Coffee morning, and much, much more.
Ruby’s Fund wanted an easy way to share information about what they offer, elements of Health & Safety and their working partnerships with all the visitors to the centre. This is where PETT stepped in to help.
Using funds raised at PETT’s Winter Wonderland events we were able to commission a local agency to work alongside our team to offer a solution. Working closely with the Alison, Ruby’s mum and founder of Ruby’s Fund, we were able to create a bright, colourful and informative presentation that brought all the information that Ruby’s Fund wanted to share to life. But they then needed a way to share it with the centre visitors.
PETT were able to provide a 49” TV that was perfect for the job. Following a visit to the sensory centre from our engineer, we were able to install all the required cabling, mount the TV and load the presentation. The presentation and TV have been a great success with Alison saying: “We would like to say thanks for your ongoing and generous support to Ruby’s Fund. The film and the TV screen have made a big impact on the centre users who were unaware of all the service we offer”
The Dove Service offers support to anyone (over the age of 4) struggling with the impact of grief, this includes bereavement, significant loss or life-changing/limiting illness.
They provide counselling, group support and social activities along with delivering bereavement awareness raising and workshops in schools, hospitals and care homes to both children and adults with the aim of normalising, understanding and supporting grief.
They deliver services and support across Cheshire, North Staffordshire and Wirral in community settings. The Dove Service have now also started to offer a service for those specifically bereaved by Covid.
On receiving the donation Sarah, the Operations Manager said
“Just wanted to drop you a line to say your generous donation has arrived in one piece, we are so grateful. It will mean that we are able to deliver more online counselling and reach people who otherwise we would be unable to see at this uncertain time, helping to support children and adults through their grief. Thank you from everyone at the Dove Service.”
