The following organisations have received donations from the PETT scheme:

Animals of Hope

Animals of Hope is a rescue centre for abused cats and dogs. They help turn the lives round of these vulnerable animals ready to rehome. The charity is run completely by volunteers. They offer a waiting list for treatments such as neutering at a lower cost for clients on a low income.

As well as helping animals, they help the wider community offering access to computer courses and the internet. They are currently running a reach out project, working with homeless people with or without pets. They provide hot showers/washes, clean clothes, bedding and hot meals.

Our Donation

Animals of Hope received a donation of a desktop computer. The donation will enable Animals of Hope to help lots more people on a daily basis and keep up to date on their workload. 

Little Heroes Comics

Little Heroes Comics are a charity that provide comic making kits for children fighting long term illnesses in hospital.

Little Heroes Comics provide the art materials needed for the children to make a comic, with the aim of providing an artistic and therapeutic outlet for them. The charity has been able to distribute kits to various hospitals, including St Georges Hospital, The Royal Marsden in Sutton, and The Rainbow Trust.

Our Donation

Little Heroes Comics received a donation of a desktop computer. The donation will be used for the day to day running of the charity, including tasks such as pulling together new designs and stories for the comics and fundraising for the charity.

Baden-Powell Scouts Association – BP Supplies

The Scouting Association dates back to 1907. Everyone within the Scouts association is a volunteer, enabling young people aged five to eighteen years to be part of continuing adult programme.

BP Supplies is run by two volunteers and provides the badges, uniform and publications on a non-profit basis to the Baden-Powell Scouts Association and other traditional scouting organisations where are principal aims are shared.

Our Donation

Baden-Powell Scouts Association - BP Supplies received a donation of two laptops. The donation will be used by the team to replace a broken machine, they will use it to carry out daily tasks that enable them to function such as producing internal publications, running accounts and stock control.

Signpost Centre, Stafford

Signpost Centre, Stafford is a community centre, internet cafe and advice hub for local vulnerable people.

It offers public courses and groups to aid social interaction, and specific drop-in clinics delivered by local organisations and companies.

The organisation employs their own Community Workers who build supportive relationships with people and offer both emotional and practical support where needed. Their role can range from sitting chatting informally to people in the café to helping people to fill in forms. A key part of the Community Workers role is to build community by gathering people together in groups for meals, for activities, or discussions.

Our Donation

Signpost Centre, Stafford received a donation of 2 desktop computers. The donation will be used to replace some of the older machines in the internet cafe therefore helping client with job search, completing online forms and online learning.

Copperdale Trust

Copperdale Trust is a charity which aims are to tackle homelessness and help relieve conditions caused by poverty.

The trust operates a homely, family style 10 bedroom homeless hostel providing safe and secure accommodation with a strong  aftercare structure which helps support young people in their first time tenancies in and around Manchester.

They are hoping to engage some volunteers to assist with the ever mounting number of enquiries received from people looking for assistance with their recovery. This often involves numerous attempts to engage people within their local authority and other statutory agencies utilising online forms and email.

Copperdale Trust (trading as United Estates of Wythenshawe) received a donation of 1 desktop computer and 1 laptop. The donation will be used by a newly appointed business manager who will manage ICT, the website, manage social media and complete funding applications to help towards programmes that are delivered
