The following organisations have received donations from the PETT scheme:
The Rossendsale Trust provides supported living care to adults with learning and physical disabilities, in purpose built apartments in Sutton and Macclesfield, and houses in Buxton.
They aim to create an environment where everyone is encouraged to reach their full potential. Changes in their care model, from residential care to supported living, have enabled their tenants to make real choices in their lives, develop in confidence and enjoy increasing independence.
The Rossendale Trust received a donation of nine laptops. The donation will be used to improve communications across the Trust. Currently all our Care Suppport Wokers do not have access to their newly set-up email accounts. The laptops will increase their ability to receive and send communications. This will directly benefit the vulnerable people they support on a daily basis and ensure they receive the best possible informed care.
The Childhood Trust is a fundraising and grant making charity. They work with grass roots charities to help alleviate the impact of child poverty in London. Every child has the right to a safe and happy childhood so The Childhood Trust looks to partner with and fund the very best initiatives and projects. They use their funds to generate and match other donations, primarily through online fundraising campaigns and fundraising partnerships.
Grants are made to proven charities that are working directly with disadvantaged children. The Childhood Trust’s work is themed across three areas; meeting children’s practical needs, supporting children’s emotional needs and inspiring children with new experiences and opportunities.
The Childhood Trust’s support across these themes promotes the development of strong foundations for learning, resilience and aspiration. The impact of grants offered is externally monitored and to date we have helped over 50,000 children through the partnerships with over 150 charities throughout London. Following a move into new offices the organisation has gone from strength to strength.
The Childhood Trust received an additional donation of a 2 desktops. This donation has beed used to further assist with the administration of the organisation and the grant process.
Climb is the leading patient organisation for Inherited Metabolic Disorders, supporting thousands of families worldwide. Climb’s vision is to be the world’s leading advocate and provider of support to those affected by Inherited Metabolic Disorders – today and tomorrow. And their mission is to raise awareness and provide bespoke support to families, patients and professionals to improve the lives of those affected by Inherited Metabolic Disorders.
Climb approached PETT as some of the machines that were originally donation back in 2015 had now reached the end of their working life and, in order for the organisation to continue to support their users, replacement machines were requested. PETT were happy to help as we could clearly see the positive impact that the initial donation had made.
Climb receives a PETT donation of 7 desktop computers. This donation will further help to improve efficiency and productivity and well as accommodating growth within the organisation. We also arranged for the old machines to be securely disposed of via Prism’s disposal service.
Birkenhead Scouts provide management and support to 15 Scout Groups, 2 of which support Scouting in Schools where the pupils require additional support. In Birkenhead there are 215 adult volunteers who support over 500 young people to develop skills for life.
As part of the groups refreshed programme IT has became a key skill which enables extra curricular development. They also use cloud based software to manage volunteers and complete e-learning to ensure everyday adventures run safely and smoothly.

Birkenhead District Scout Council received a donation of a laptop. The donation will be used by the trainers to deliver training to adult volunteers and to allow young people to develop their own IT skills.
Annan Harbour Action Group is a community orientated charity registered. The group aims are:
– To develop Annan harbour and the surrounding area as a community asset; promote water-based and shore-based activities linked to the maritime environment and acquire and regenerate historic buildings and land bringing these into purposeful use for the benefit of all.
– To work with the community to promote the harbour and Annan as a hub for performance, events, and festivals which celebrate, and make the public aware of, the maritime heritage, history and natural environment.
– To improve the infrastructure and facilities of the harbour and surrounding area with the aim of promoting public participation in sport and recreational activities such as boating, rowing, sailing, other water based activities and sports, cycling, nature tourism and walking.
– To promote and/or provide training in traditional skills especially in building coastal rowing boats to ensure that the heritage of these crafts is maintained and passed on to the next generation.

Annan Harbour Action Group received a donation of a desktop computer. The donation will be used to replace an old, no longer functioning computer and will allow the volunteer secretary and treasurer computer access in the office premises where they frequently meet to help plan events and work on budgets/funding arrangements for the charity.
TLC Children’s Trust run a registered children’s Home near Siaya in Kenya.
The Home of Peace Children’s Home support vulnerable children and orphans by providing medical care, education, accommodation, food and clothing.
T.L.C. Children's Trust received a donation of a laptop. The donation will allow the charity to maintain contact with supporters and the children’s home. It will also help the volunteers to raise funds, maintain the website and keep the accounts.
Omnibus Clapham provide creative opportunities and improve lives through the power of theatre, music, art and literature.
Omnibus is a theatre venue in London, housed in a converted Victorian Library, and offering a high-quality arts programme with theatre at its heart. Inspired by the building’s literary heritage our in-house productions focus on retelling classic tales with a contemporary twist.
We are committed to discovering new artistic vocabularies and providing vital support for emerging artists to create new work that has life within and beyond the building. We host imaginative and emotionally engaging work from a selection of some of the UK’s most exciting companies and talented artists and run a participatory programme of activities for young people and families.
Omnibus Clapham received a donation of two laptops and a desktop. The donation will vastly improve the efficiency of the theatre and enable the staff to provide a higher-level service for their audiences, in turn adding to their experience and ongoing support.
S.A.R.A.I.D is a British charity dedicated to trying to save the lives of innocent victims of disaster, as well as relieving human suffering around the world regardless of colour, creed, religion and political persuasion.
S.A.R.A.I.D specialise in Urban Search & Rescue regardless of location and have a team of dedicated, highly trained volunteers on standby 24/7, every single day of the year. Team members don’t receive a penny from the organisation in the form of wages or expenses, all donations are used to support deployments. It is staffed entirely by volunteers.
S.A.R.A.I.D not only provide a response team once a disaster has happened but are also working with countries to provide advice and training on how to cope in the initial 24 hours of the disaster.
They deploy teams across the world to assist in rescue operations and train local people in immediate rescue techniques. In addition, they have also set up Community Resilience Teams in the UK, who support the Emergency Services and Local Authority in their response to emergencies and major incidents.
S.A.R.A.I.D received a donation of a laptop. The donation will be used to carry out work pre, during and post deployment. It will assist with their planning when helping people both at home and abroad.
Signpost (Colchester) Limited is a registered charity that offer a wide range of services for the unemployed.
The organisation is supported by numerous volunteers. The resource centre provides training, education and workshops to help people move into sustainable employment.
Signpost (Colchester) Limited saw an increase in the number of visitors during last year.
Signpost (Colchester) Limited received a donation of a laptop and desktop. The donation will be used for employability workshops including CV writing and practicing interview skills. It will also enable volunteers to support jobseekers to search and apply for jobs.
